Davido ignored my calls, messages – Cynthia Morgan

 

Nigerian singer, Cynthia Morgan has revealed that Davido neither picked her calls nor replied messages after he asked her to reach out to him.

Morgan who had been away from the music industry appeared online, accusing her former boss, Jude Okoye of crashing her music career.

Morgan claimed that she lost all she had, including her name, VEVO account, Instagram account and royalties after they had some issues centering on her contract.

However, Jude Okoye dismissed her claims, telling his side of the story.

Davido, weighed into the controversy and shared a post on his Twitter page asking Morgan to call him.

However, Morgan in a recent interview with Hip Tv said Davido refused to pick her calls since then.

She said: “I tried to reach out to David after he asked online that I call him but he did not pick my call or reply messages.”

The dancehall singer also disclosed that she made a demo for the record Davido sent to her, but she’s yet to hear from him after 3 months.

As of time of report, Davido is yet to respond to her allegation.

Buhari reacts to death of first military governor, Northwestern State, Usman Faruk

 

President Muhammadu Buhari has condoled the family, friends and associates of the first Military Governor of North-Western State, Alhaji Usman Faruk, over the passing of the retired Commissioner of Police.

The President also extended condolences to the government and people of Gombe State, observing that their eminent son and Jarman Gombe, dedicated his life and energy to the unity of the country.

In a statement made available to DAILY POST on Friday, President Buhari also noted Alhaji Faruk’s commitment to the development of his community even after retirement, stressing that he remained an epitome of kindness and humility.

Four Land Borders Re-opened – NIS

 

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has revealed that four land borders have been re-opened following the directives given by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Recall that the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed, on Wednesday announced the immediate reopening of four land borders after the Federal Executive Council meeting held virtually in Abuja.

 

However, the NIS Public Relations Officer, Mr Sunday James in a statement on Abuja on Friday said the service has complied with the Federal Government’s directive on re-opening of land borders in the country, NAN reports.

“In compliance with the directive of the Federal Government, the following four land borders have been re-opened.

“The borders are; Seme in South-West, Illela in the North-West, Maigatari in the North-West and North-East and Mfum, South-South respectively.

“Also, the Comptroller General of NIS has directed the head of the service formation at these borders posts to comply and remove restrictions of human movement.

“The head of the service formation at these borders have equally been instructed to avoid unethical practices and unprofessional conducts.

“All persons entering or exiting the country must hold a valid travel documents as prescribed in the immigration Act 2015 and to observe COVID-19 protocols.

“Lastly, we advise that all travelers to pass through only these four designated authorised borders posts pending the re-opening of others,”

Wizkid And Burna Boy’s December Show Postponed Indefinitely Due To Covid-19

 

The ‘Livespot Xclusive Concert Experience’ show slated for December 19th and 20th which features afrobeat giants, Burna Boy, Wizkid and other artistes has been postponed due to the second wave of COVID-19 in Nigeria.

According to the organizer Darey Art Alade, the rise in COVID-19 cases in the country is the main reason why the show had to be postponed indefinitely.

Announcing on social media, he wrote;

”Within the last few days, we have observed an aggressive increase in the number of COVID-19 and we are strongly convinced that it is our collective interest to postpone the Livespot Xclusive Concert Experience slated for this coming weekend 19th and 20th of December.

Regardless of the thorough health and safety protocol (for which we already had official approval) that we have put in place, we know that this is the right thing to do at this critical time in our fight against the virus. And we salute all the government and health care workers doing all they can to keep us all safe. We believe you will receive from official sources in the coming days, regarding how to keep safe this festive period, and beyond.”

Iyabo Ojo, a Nigerian actress has bagged an award after being recognized by TikTok.

The mom of two shared a video of the award she got for being an active user of the video-sharing app.

She thanked TikTok Nigeria for the recognition, while also releasing another creative one.

“Thank you for this beautiful award, I’m humbled,” she wrote.

TikTok is one of the social platforms that gained prominence during the lockdown caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Peter Okoye’s Wife Lola Omotayo Loses Dad

 

Lola Omotayo-Okoye, wife of singer Peter Okoye, is bereaved as her father, Chief Oladipo Omotayo, passed on yesterday, December 16.

The music star took to his Twitter page where he announced the passing away of Lola’s father.

“My dear father-in-law. Chief Oladipo Adewale Omotayo aka “Papa” We will surely miss you! Loudly crying face Your beloved Daughter Lola Okoye and your grandchildren Cameron & Aliona Okoye misses you desperately and even more! Folded hands loudly crying face🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯 Adieu Papa,” he tweeted.
